Roger Miller might not have been a jerk (though his cookoo lyrics no doubt got under the skin of those who wanted country music to be taken "seriously"), but I wanted to give him some due.
Sure, some of his songs were pretty goofy (Chug-a-lug for instance), but his lyrics were so complex and fun to listen to. I've always thought England Swings was cool, and everybody's gotta respect King of the Road.
You jerks might not agree with me, but it's not like I give a s.hit.
